From October 7th to 9th, 2014, CNES (Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales) and the LATMOS (Laboratoire Atmosphères, Milieux, Observations Spatiales) organize the “Solar Metrology, Needs and Methods” Symposium.

The goal of this symposium is to meet together scientists involved in the physics, metrology and modelling of the Sun as well as those involved in Earth atmospheric and climate studies. The objectives are to confront the available observations of solar parameters (total and spectral irradiance, solar diameter and shape, helioseismology, etc.) from existing (PICARD, SOHO, SDO) with the needs of solar and climate models in order to identify in which direction we have to improve them for future solar missions.

LIST OF INVITED SPEAKERS
